Pisang peak lies just north of the Manang Valley which passes through the famous Annapurna Circuit. It is an excellent climb for those who simply wish to get a taste for what the big mountains have in store. It can be combined with the popular classic Annapurna circuit trek.

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Drive Kathmandu to Besisahar (760 m) - Bulbule.
  • Day 2: Trek to Jagat (1300m) Overnight in lodge.
  • Day 3: Trek to Darapani (1860m) Overnight in lodge.
  • Day 4: Trek to Chhame (2651m) Overnight in lodge.
  • Day 5: Trek to Pisang (3333m) Overnight in lodge.
  • Day 6: Rest day at Pisang for acclimatization.
  • Day 7: Trek to Pisang Base Camp (4380m).Camp.
  • Day 8: High Camp (5400m) of Pisang Peak.Camp.
  • Day 9: Summit Peak (6091m) and return to Base Camp.
  • Day 10: Trek to Braga (3360m).Overnight in lodge.
  • Day 11: Trek to Yak Kharka (4018m) via Manang. Overnight in lodge.
  • Day 12: Trek to Thorang Phedi (4450m). Overnight in lodge.
  • Day 13: Cross Thorang Pass (5450m) - Muktinath (3798m) Overnight in lodge.
  • Day 14: Trek to Jomsom Overnight in lodge.
  • Day 15: Schedule flight: Jomsom-Pokhara-Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Cost includes

  • Transfers airport-hotel-airport for Int. and domestic flights.
  • Accommodation and meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) during the trek.
  • Services of climbing/trekking guide, and porters.

Cost does not include

  • Expenses of personal nature, personal tips, alcoholic beverages, cold/soft drinks/mineral water, hot showers during the trek.
  • Accommodation and meals in Kathmandu.
  • Travel insurance, personal medical expenses and rescue evacuation
  • Personal climbing gears.
  • Any cost arising due to landslides, political disturbance, strikes, cancellation of flights, and deviation in program.
  • Tourist visa for Nepal and international flight to/from Kathmandu.

  • Easy to moderate hiking and trekking
  • Light packs (10kg)
  • Elevations often below 2500m
  • Easy terrain
  • Trek duration less than a week in high altitude

Grade II

  • Moderate to strenuous trekking
  • May require carrying bag pack (10kg)
  • Elevations from 2500m to 5500m
  • Moderate terrain
  • Nights are spent in lodge or tents
  • Trek duration of two weeks in high altitude

Grade III

  • Moderate to strenuous trekking
  • May require carrying bag packs (12)
  • Elevations from 2800m to 5500m
  • Moderate to intermediate terrain with short scrambling and descent on moraine/scree sections
  • Nights are spent in tents or lodge
  • Three high passes above 4500m
  • May involve travel to remote areas
  • Trek duration up to three weeks
  • Average of six hours trek per day

    Grade IV

    • Strenuous trekking and climbing
    • May require carrying bag packs (12)
    • Elevations from 2800m to 5500m
    • Moderate to intermediate terrain with short scrambling and descent on moraine/scree sections
    • Terrain might be snow or ice or rock or all mixed including glaciers
    • Few nights are spent in tent at high altitude during peak ascent
    • Nights are spent in tents or lodge
    • Involves travel in remote areas
    • Trek duration of two to three weeks
    • Includes several high passes trek and 6000m peak ascent
    • Minimum seven hours of average trek per day

    Grade V

    • Strenuous climbing
    • May require carrying bag packs (15kg)
    • High or extreme altitude with elevation above 7000m
    • Intermediate to advance terrain
    • Nights are spent in tents
    • Moderate to extreme glacier travel is involved
    • Travel in remote areas
    • Usually expedition duration above four weeks
