Overview

Amphu Laptsa Pass, is one of the most challenging passes in the Khumbu region. Due to its location to the south of the Khumbu, it offers spectacular views and it is not as crowded as the main trails. We will pass through the beautiful Hongu valley and further towards the technical Amphu Laptsa pass and enter the Khumbu valley at Chukung. Favorable season are the months of April and May and September to November.

Brief Itinerary

  • Day 01:
    Arrive Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
  • Day 02:
    In Kathmandu permits processing and trek preparations
  • Day 03:
    Fly to Lukla trek to Puiyan (2730m). Lodge
  • Day 04:
    Trek to Pangom (3286m). Lodge
  • Day 05:
    Trek to Najing Dingma (3200m).Lodge
  • Day 06:
    Trek to Cholemo Kharka (3800m). Lodge
  • Day 07:
    Trek to Khola Kharka. Lodge
  • Day 08:
    Trek to Kote (3500m). Lodge
  • Day 09:
    Trek to Tagnag (4358m). Lodge
  • Day 10:
    Trek Khare (5060m). Lodge
  • Day 11:
    At Khare- Rest day for acclimatization.
  • Day 12:
    Trek to Khongmidingma. Camp
  • Day 13:
    Trek to seto pokhari (5000m). Camp
  • Day 14:
    Trek to Amphulaptsa base camp. Camp
  • Day 15:
    Cross Amphu Laptsa pass (5839m) and trek to Chukung (4700m). Lodge
  • Day 16:
    Rest day in Chukung. Lodge
  • Day 17:
    Trek to Tengboche. Lodge
  • Day 18:
    Trek to Namche. Lodge
  • Day 19:
    Trek to Lukla. Lodge
  • Day 20:
    Schedule flight to Kathmandu & transfer to hotel
  • Day 21:
    In Kathmandu.

Cost Includes:

  • Transfers airport-hotel-airport for Int. and domestic lights.
  • 3 star hotel accommodation on room sharing and breakfast in Kathmandu as per itinerary.
  • Airfare Kathmandu-Lukla-Kathmandu
  • Standard lodge accommodation and tea houses on room sharing basis with fixed meals during the trek. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner), sleeping tents, mattress and food wherever applicable.
  • Climbing equipment required to cross Apmhulaptsa pass.
  • Wages, accommodation and food for guide and porter on trek. (2 trekkers share 1 porter on trek)
  • Applicable government and local taxes, conservation fee, insurance for guide and porters.

Cost Excludes:

  • Expenses of personal nature, personal tips, alcoholic and cold drinks, mineral and boiled water, snacks/coffee/tea in between meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) hot showers during the trek.
  • Meals in Kathmandu.
  • Travel insurance, personal medical expenses and rescue evacuation.
  • Personal trekking gears.
  • Any costs arising due to flight cancellations, political disturbance, natural disaster and deviation in programs.
  • Tourist visa for Nepal and International flight to/from Kathmandu.
