Overview
Where Himalayan Majesty Meets Inner Peace
High in the Nepal Himalayas, where mist-clad peaks pierce crystalline skies and ancient prayer flags dance in the mountain breeze, lies the Langtang Valley – a sanctuary of breathtaking beauty and profound stillness. This is not merely a trek. It is a pilgrimage into the heart of your own being.
The Langtang Inner Yoga Trek is a unique fusion of physical adventure and spiritual exploration. Over fifteen transformative days, you will walk through rhododendron forests, cross rushing rivers, and stand before snow-capped giants. Along the way, you will be guided by the timeless wisdom of traditional Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation, and Satsang – practices designed not just to strengthen the body, but to quiet the mind and awaken the soul.
This is an invitation to disconnect from the noise of the world and reconnect with your Inner Self – that unchanging, ever-blissful presence that lies beneath the turbulence of thoughts, desires, and distractions.
“Yoga is not an ancient myth buried in oblivion. It is the most valuable inheritance of the present. It is the essential need of today and culture of tomorrow.”
— Swami Satyananda Saraswati
Why This Journey?
| The Problem We Face | The Solution We Offer |
|---|---|
| We seek happiness from impermanent things – branded items, status, transient pleasures | True happiness comes from within – from the unchanging Inner Self |
| Our desires are endless; satisfaction is fleeting | Inner peace is independent of external circumstances |
| We suffer because we mistake material comfort for lasting fulfillment | This journey teaches you to access your own ever-calm, ever-blissful nature |
| The mind is restless, cluttered with unwanted thoughts | Meditation and yogic practices quiet the mind, saving energy for higher awareness |
This is not a vacation. It is a turning point – an opportunity to realize that you are not your thoughts, not your possessions, not your worries. You are the witness. You are the awareness. You are the soul.

Yogic Practices Explained
Asana (Posture)
The practice of traditional asana under a competent teacher aims to develop:
Strength, steadiness, flexibility, suppleness, lightness, and comfort at the physical level
Purification of energy channels (nadis) through which prana (life force) flows
Training the body and mind to stay in a posture for extended periods without boredom – but with concentration and awareness
“If we need to sit for five to ten minutes in a meditative pose to practice breath control or meditation, bodily discomfort should not disturb the practice.”
Pranayama (Conscious Breath Control)
Pranayama is the process of gaining acquaintance with the entire field of pranic activity and gaining control over it. Benefits include:
Strengthening the lungs and respiratory muscles
Increasing oxygen intake and cellular vitality
Developing one-pointed awareness and concentration
Relaxing the nervous system
Dhyana (Meditation)
Meditation is the process of:
Concentrating the mind on a single thought, place, image, or mantra
Witnessing the thoughts of the mind without becoming involved
Quietening the mind to experience the peace and calm beneath the mental chatter
“The quieter the mind, the happier the mind. The same energy and time saved can be used for higher meditation – the inquiry of the Absolute Self.”
Satsang (Association with True Knowledge)
Satsang is:
Association with like-minded seekers in search of Truth
Company with the wise (saints and sages) to know Truth directly
A range of activities : chanting, singing hymns, scriptural discussions, questions and answers
The goal of Satsang is to know the Truth through varied means and then bring it into practice in daily life. It creates a vibrant field where:
Natural understanding happens
The restless mind gets calmed
Peace and tranquility emerge
A touch of divine awareness is felt directly
Why Vegetarian Food?
The Langtang Inner Yoga Trek offers vegetarian sattvic meals – light, easily digestible, and energy-rich. This is not merely a dietary preference but a yogic recommendation because:
Vegetarian food has calming and non-aggressive qualities , essential for spiritual practice
It provides suitable energy for asana, pranayama, and meditation
It is easily digestible , allowing the body to focus energy on higher practices rather than digestion
It aligns with the principle of non-violence (ahimsa)
During the trek, our kitchen team prepares a varied vegetarian menu that provides sufficient energy for both trekking and yoga practice.
