Trip Overview

Chitwan National Park is the first national park in Nepal and was established in 1973 and granted the status of a World Heritage Site in 1984. It covers an area of 932 km2(360 sq mi) and is located in the subtropical Inner Terai lowlands of south-central Nepal. Consisting of forests, marshland and rippling grassland, it is one of the best wildlife-viewing national parks in Asia, and you’ll have an excellent chance of spotting the great one-horned rhinos, deer, monkeys and 450 species of birds, leopards, wild elephants and sloth bears and the majestic royal Bengal tiger.

Itinerary

For 2 nights-3 days

  • Day 1: Arrive in Chitwan from Kathmandu. Activities: village tour and visit to the elephant breeding centre. Dinner and cultural program.
  • Day 2: After breakfast cannoning along the Rapti River and jungle walk, elephant safari. Dinner and cultural program.
  • Day 3: Early morning wake up for bird watching: After breakfast departure to your destination.

For 1 night-2 days

  • Day 1: Arrive in Chitwan from Kathmandu. Activities: village tour and visit to the elephant breeding centre. Dinner and cultural program.
  • Day 2: Elephant safari. After lunch depart to your destination.
