It is home to world famous landmarks such as the Dalai Lama’s Potala and Norbulingka Palaces, impressive Tibetan monasteries like the Sera Monastery, Drepung Monastery, Jokhang Temple, Tibet Museum and Barkhor Bazaar . The age old monasteries and temples in the city have preserved many historical relics, Buddhist scriptures, arts, and crafts.

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Fly Kathmandu – Gonggar airport over the majestic Himalayan range and drive to Lhasa .Rest to get used to the altitude.Overnight at hotel.
  • Day 2: Lhasa. Sightseeing tour of Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Bazaar. Overnight at the hotel.
  • Day 3: Lhasa. Sightseeing tour of Drepung, Sera Monasteries and Norbulinka Palace.Overnight at the hotel.
  • Day 4: Transfer to airport and fly back to Kathmandu.
