In 2014, Dawa Sherpa and his two companions Mingma Sherpa and Phurba Namgyal Sherpa materialized their love and passion of adventure tourism into a tourism business. The two passions that encircled their life, which was Climbing and the Himalayas became one with the birth of Climbalaya Treks and Expedition. With over 15 years of experience in the field of adventure tourism, the co-founders till date have been providing successful and ambitious expeditions and trips for climbers and trekkers from around the world.

Climbalaya realized a need for a service that extended well beyond a monetary exchange; instead, we took it upon ourselves to treat you as individuals with personalized packages that speak every last one of our clients. Each customer is looked after throughout the entire trip despite the location to which we are heading to, we plan to be your trained voice, friend or seasoned professionals, whatever suits you, and most importantly we deliver. Additionally, at Climbalaya we also constantly strive to challenge our boundaries, working towards establishing a benchmark be it breaking new trial grounds or going beyond with our quality services.

Climbalaya is a close-knit business in which all three founders are heavily involved; in fact, each expedition is led by our certified mountaineers who likewise happen to be the co-founders of the company. We believe the co-founders’ commitment to quality checks of the services even while summiting to difficult trails is what makes us different; where ever we go quality is assured.

Driven by passion and backed up with strong and dedicated task force our small yet competent management team and dependable services has put us in the high ranks in the Nepalese tourism industry. We utilize top notch gear, highly specialized and trained work team and actively seek to better ourselves through specialized high altitude training.

We believe in striving for the challenge to attach perfection, which is why in 2016 we took it upon of ourselves to embark in the biggest expedition Climbalaya has seen by climbing Mt Everest with a team of more than 20 climbers. We successfully completed this endeavour and it was a moment of pride for us as we are constantly challenging boundaries.

We are committed to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and on numerous occasions with the help of our travellers and Sherpa Nepalhilfe, we have set up funds to help the Sherpa families who have lost their bread earners during mountaineering expeditions. Other CSR includes extended support to reconstructing buildings and community houses damaged during the 2015 earthquake in association with friends and well-wishers from Germany.

Climbalaya has standardized trekking and mountaineering services for people all over the world including climbers from Germany, Holland, United States, Japan, Hungary, Russian, Ukraine and other countries. As travel experience providers we do not solely work to provide travel service but try to understand our traveller so that we are able to assist them before and during the journey. Climbalaya respects the environment within which it operates and has strict policies for removing all waste products from the mountain, thus ensuring the future sustainability of our camps and the local area. To minimize our impact on the environment and to protect the environment during outdoor adventures, we implement our “Leave No Trace” policy.
